Membership Information

Membership is open to anyone who is aged above 18 and is interested in exploring the (personal and professional) dynamics of adult attachment.  We particularly welcome those engaged in caregiving industries and environments; and who meet the criteria set out by the association.  AEDAA invites members to be part of a supportive, collaborative, innovative and progressive community whose central interest is in exploring the dynamics of adult attachment as developed and researched by Dr Una McCluskey

Membership Categories

  • Founder member -You will have trained in the Una McCluskey Model and hold a professional caregiving qualification.  As a qualified member of your professional organisation you are accountable to that body to uphold ethical standards and maintain professional insurance.

  • Member – You will have participated in one or more McCluskey Model groups and hold a professional caregiving qualification and be a qualified member of a professional body.  As qualified member of your professional organisation you are accountable to that body to uphold ethical standards and maintain professional insurance.

  • Associate member - you will have an interest in adult attachment professionally and/or personally

Fee Structure for AEDAA membership

AEDAA is an inclusive association and wishes to welcome members whatever their financial circumstances. Please choose the fee that best meets your economic circumstances between £25 - £150 a year. 

There is no distinction between the amount of fee and membership criteria. The membership renewal fee can change from year to year depending upon your circumstances.

The fee structure is as below:

•    £150 a year
•    £100 a year
•    £75 a year
•    £50 a year
•    £25 a year

The fee can be paid in full at start of membership, quarterly or monthly by Direct Debit.

Ceasing to be a member of the Association for Exploring the Dynamics of Adult Attachment

Members may resign at any time in writing to the Committee.

Any member who has not paid their membership fee for one year will be contacted by the committee, who will then decide whether that member is deemed to have resigned.

Any offensive behaviour, including racist, sexist or inflammatory remarks, will not be permitted. Anyone behaving in an offensive way or breaking the equal opportunities policy may be asked not to attend further meetings or to resign from the group if an apology is not given or the behaviour is repeated. The individual concerned shall have the right to be heard by the management committee, accompanied by a friend, before a final decision is made. The elected committee shall have the power to make the final decision on suitability or otherwise for membership.
